“Do your photos have a message?” she asked.
“Perhaps, but it’s really none of my business.” I answered.
Her gaze focused on a point just beyond the horizon while she attempted to weave my answer into the larger picture of our conversation.
“Photography is a collaboration between the subject and the photographer. As the photographer, my purpose is to reveal what the subject is communicating in that moment. Let others see what they will. They do anyway.”
“Does this bother you?”

“No, no it doesn’t. Should it?”
